Ingredients

  • 1/2 cups Butter, Softened
  • 1 cup Sugar
  • 1 whole Egg
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract
  • 3 whole Medium Bananas, Mashed
  • 1-1/2 cup Flour
  • 1 teaspoon Baking Powder
  • 1 teaspoon Baking Soda
  • 1/2 teaspoons Salt
  • 1/4 cups Baking Cocoa
  • 1/4 cups Nutella, Melted (optional)
  • 1/4 cups Walnuts, Chopped (optional)

Method

  • In a mixer, blend butter and sugar until creamy. Add egg and vanilla, beat until combined. Blend in bananas. Add flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt.
  • Divide batter in half. To one half of the batter, add cocoa and mix until combined. Spread in the bottom of a greased 13x9 pan (I use my butter wrapper to grease the pan). Spoon the remaining batter on top and spread with spatula.
  • Bake in a 350°F oven for 25 minutes. Cool on the counter and then refrigerate.
  • I like it best served the next day, out of the refrigerator. You can also dress it up by drizzling some melted Nutella on top and some chopped walnuts. You decide!
