Ingredients

  • 3/4 c. flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 (4 ounce.) pkg. sweet chocolate, coarsely minced
  • 1/2 c. minced nuts
  • 1 c. quick cooking oatmeal
  • 1/2 c. butter
  • 1/2 c. sugar
  • 1/4 c. (firmly packed) brown sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla

Method

  • Mix flour, soda and salt.
  • Add in chocolate, oatmeal and nuts.
  • Cream butter; blending in sugars gradually.
  • Add in egg and vanilla; mix thoroughly.
  • Add in flour mix blending well.
  • Drop by teaspoonfuls about 2 inches apart onto ungreased cookie sheets.
  • Bake at 375 degrees for about 12 min or possibly till edges are lightly browned.
