Ingredients

  • 1/4 each onion
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 2 each jalapenos
  • 1/2 bunch cillantro
  • 1 can tomatoes
  • 3/4 tsp garlic salt
  • 1/2 tsp ground cumin
  • 1 tbsp lime juice
  • 1 tbsp salt

Method

  • Chop the onions and garlic.
  • Blanch the onions and garlic to soften them.
  • (Place in hot water for 5 minutes then strain.)
  • Chop the jalapenos (use fresh or canned not pickled.)
  • Combine these three ingredients and the cilantro leaves in food processor and blend for a few seconds.
  • Add remaining ingredients and blend until well mixed but not pureed.
  • Cover and fill at least two hours before serving.
