Ingredients

  • 2 cups water
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 medium onion, diced
  • 1 (15 ounce) can tomato sauce
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons chili powder
  • 3/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 1 tablespoon cider vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 bay leaf

Method

  • Bring water to a boil in a large pot. Add beef and boil for 30 minutes stirring occasionally. Drain beef.
  • Add remaining ingredients to beef and simmer for 30 minutes.
  • Serve over hot dogs with yellow mustard and onions.
