Ingredients

  • 2 lb. ground beef, browned and drained
  • 4 onions, chopped
  • 2 (12 oz.) cans tomatoes
  • 2 cans kidney beans, drained (reserve liquid)
  • 1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
  • 1 Tbsp. sugar
  • 1 1/2 Tbsp. chili powder
  • 3/4 Tbsp. salt

Method

  • Stir tomatoes and liquid from kidney beans, tomato sauce and seasonings. Heat until boiling. Reduce heat; simmer 1 hour and 15 minutes. Stir in beans; simmer, stirring occasionally, about 15 minutes or until desired consistency.
