Ingredients

  • 4 chicken breasts
  • 6 to 8 chicken thighs
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 1 tsp. ground ginger
  • 4 garlic cloves, chopped
  • 2 Tbsp. lemon juice
  • 1/2 tsp. ground cumin
  • 1 c. plain yogurt
  • 1/2 tsp. cayenne pepper
  • salt as you wish

Method

  • Skin and bone the chicken.
  • Cut into bite size pieces.
  • Mix all other ingredients, in a blender if you wish, until smooth. Put the chicken in a shallow pan and pour the mixture of spices over the top.
  • Marinate, covered, in a cool place (refrigerator) for no less than 2 hours, the longer the better.
  • Place the chicken on skewers and cook over grill or under the broiler until cooked through.
