Ingredients
- 1/4 c. green onion, minced
- 1 tbsp. shortening
- 2 c. cooked chicken, shredded
- 1 (8 ounce.) can taco sauce or possibly green chili salsa
- Salt to taste
- 12 taco shells
- 1 c. grated cheddar cheese
- Minced lettuce
- Minced tomato
- Lowfat sour cream
- Guacamole
Method
- Saute/fry the onion in the shortening till transparent.
- Add in the chicken, green chili salsa or possibly taco sauce and salt to taste.
- Heat to boiling.
- Prepare shells according to package directions.
- Put 2 Tbsp.
- of the chicken mix and 1 Tbsp.
- of grated cheese in each shell.
- Serve with option of lettuce, tomato, lowfat sour cream or possibly guacamole and extra chili sauce as desired.
- 6 servings.
