Ingredients

  • 2 Tbsp. oil
  • 1 Tbsp. butter
  • 1 c. chopped onion
  • 1 to 2 Tbsp. paprika
  • 2 c. chicken stock
  • 1 cut up fryer
  • 1 Tbsp. flour
  • 1 c. sour cream

Method

  • Heat oil and butter in Dutch oven.
  • Add onion and paprika; cook until brown.
  • Stir in salt and chicken stock; bring mixture to a boil.
  • Add chicken and reduce heat.
  • Simmer 45 minutes or until tender.
  • Stir together flour and sour cream and stir into chicken mixture.
  • Heat through, but do not boil.
  • Serve with dumplings (or rice).
