Ingredients
- 3 lb. fryer chicken
- salt and pepper
- 1/4 lb. butter
- 2 finely chopped onions
- 4 ripe tomatoes
- 2 tsp. paprika
- 3 c. thin cream
- 1/8 tsp. soda
Method
- Cut chicken in serving pieces and sprinkle with salt and pepper.
- Melt the butter in large frying pan or Dutch oven.
- Add the onions and place the chicken over onions.
- Cover.
- Cook over low heat for 10 minutes.
- Peel and chop tomatoes, then combine with paprika and stir lightly.
- Cook 10 minutes.
- Mix cream with soda and pour over chicken.
- Cook for another 35 minutes.
- Remove chicken, strain the sauce and pour over chicken.
