Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 c. rice, uncooked
  • 1 (3 lb.) chicken, uncooked, deboned and cut into pieces
  • 1 pkg. Lipton dry onion soup mix
  • 3 to 4 c. water
  • 1 can cream of celery soup

Method

  • In 9 x 13-inch pan, place rice, top with chicken.
  • Sprinkle with onion soup mix.
  • Add water and celery soup; cover tightly with foil and seal well.
  • Bake at 325° or 2 to 3 hours.
  • Don't peek, so the rice will cook.
  • During the last few minutes, remove foil to allow the meat to brown.
