Ingredients
- 1 large onion, sliced
- 2 (6 oz.) cans tomato paste
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 1/2 tsp. basil
- 1 bay leaf
- 2 1/2 to 3 lb. cut-up fryer
- 1 (4 oz.) can drained mushrooms
- 1/4 tsp. pepper
- 1 to 2 tsp. oregano leaves
- 1/2 tsp. celery
Method
- Place onion in crock-pot.
- Add chicken.
- Mix remaining ingredients and pour over chicken.
- Cook on low for 7 to 9 hours; high for 3 to 4 hours.
- Good served over hot buttered spaghetti. May also be cooked in the oven.
