Ingredients
- 1 small onion, chopped
- 1/4 c. water
- 1 can tomatoes
- 1/2 c. tomato puree or sauce
- 1/2 tsp. garlic powder
- 1 tsp. oregano
- 1/8 tsp. pepper
- 4 chicken pieces
Method
- Boil onion, water, tomatoes, tomato puree or sauce, garlic powder, oregano, and pepper in saucepan for 10 minutes to simmer for flavors.
- Place chicken in frying pan.
- Pour sauce over chicken.
- Cook, covered, over low heat until chicken is tender, about 45 minutes.
- Uncover and cook 15 minutes more to thicken tomato sauce.
- Makes 4 servings.
