Ingredients

  • 2 Tbsp. sugar
  • 1 (21 oz.) can cherry pie filling, divided
  • 1 (18 1/2 to 18 3/4 oz.) pkg. devil's food cake mix
  • 1 tsp. cinnamon
  • 3 eggs
  • 1/2 c. water
  • 1/4 c. oil

Method

  • Generously butter 12-cup ring cake dish; sprinkle with sugar to coat.
  • Spread half of pie filling in dish.
  • Mix remaining ingredients (including rest of filling).
  • Beat 3 minutes with mixer.
  • Pour into dish.
  • Cook at Medium 12 minutes, rotating every 3 minutes.
  • Increase power to High for 1 to 8 minutes or until cake springs back when lightly touched and begins to pull away from sides.
  • Let stand 10 minutes.
  • Invert onto serving plate. Let cool completely before slicing.
  • Makes one ring cake.
