Ingredients
- 2 Tbsp. sugar
- 1 (21 oz.) can cherry pie filling, divided
- 1 (18 1/2 to 18 3/4 oz.) pkg. devil's food cake mix
- 1 tsp. cinnamon
- 3 eggs
- 1/2 c. water
- 1/4 c. oil
Method
- Generously butter 12-cup ring cake dish; sprinkle with sugar to coat.
- Spread half of pie filling in dish.
- Mix remaining ingredients (including rest of filling).
- Beat 3 minutes with mixer.
- Pour into dish.
- Cook at Medium 12 minutes, rotating every 3 minutes.
- Increase power to High for 1 to 8 minutes or until cake springs back when lightly touched and begins to pull away from sides.
- Let stand 10 minutes.
- Invert onto serving plate. Let cool completely before slicing.
- Makes one ring cake.
