Ingredients
- pastry for two crust 9-inch pie
- 1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese, softened
- 1/2 c. sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1/3 c. pecans
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 2 (1 lb.) cans cherry pie filling
- 1 carton Cool Whip
Method
- Roll pastry in 14-inch circle; put in 12-inch pizza pan. Flute edges; prick.
- Bake at 300° for 15 minutes.
- Blend cheese and sugar; add eggs and beat well.
- Add nuts and vanilla.
- Pour into partially baked crust and bake for 10 minutes; cool.
- Spread pie filling over cheese layer and chill.
- Top with Cool Whip before serving.
