Ingredients

  • pastry for two crust 9-inch pie
  • 1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 c. sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/3 c. pecans
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 2 (1 lb.) cans cherry pie filling
  • 1 carton Cool Whip

Method

  • Roll pastry in 14-inch circle; put in 12-inch pizza pan. Flute edges; prick.
  • Bake at 300° for 15 minutes.
  • Blend cheese and sugar; add eggs and beat well.
  • Add nuts and vanilla.
  • Pour into partially baked crust and bake for 10 minutes; cool.
  • Spread pie filling over cheese layer and chill.
  • Top with Cool Whip before serving.
