Ingredients
- tart apples 3 lg., sliced
- 12 ounces pitted cherries sour, drained
- 1 cup flour unsifted
- 3/4 cup firmly packed brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/8 teaspoon ground nutmeg
- 1/2 cup butter
Method
- Combine apples and cherries.
- Arrange in greased 2-quart shallow baking dish.
- In a bowl combine flour, sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
- Cut in butter using pastry blender or 2 knives.
- Sprinkle over fruit.
- Bake in 375 degree oven for 30-35 minutes until apples are tender.
- Serve with whipped cream.
