Ingredients

  • 1 lb. ground beef
  • 1/2 c. chopped green pepper
  • 4 green onions, chopped
  • dash of garlic salt
  • 1/4 c. margarine
  • 2 1/2 Tbsp. flour
  • 1 can mushroom soup
  • 3 c. grated mild Cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 c. chopped celery
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 3/4 lb. thin spaghetti, cooked and drained

Method

  • Brown ground beef in skillet, stirring, until crumbly; drain. Saute green pepper and green onions with garlic salt in margarine in skillet until tender.
  • Mix in flour.
  • Add milk gradually, stirring constantly, until thick.
  • Stir in soup.
  • Simmer for several minutes.
  • Add ground beef and cheese, mixing well.
  • Cook over low heat until cheese melts, stirring frequently.
  • Mix in celery, salt and pepper.
  • Combine with spaghetti in baking dish, mixing well.
  • Bake at 350° until bubbly.
