Ingredients

  • 20 square graham crackers
  • 1/4 c. melted margarine and brown sugar
  • 1 pkg. lemon jello
  • 3/4 c. boiling water
  • 8 oz. softened cream cheese
  • 1 can cold evaporated milk
  • 1 c. white sugar
  • 1 tsp. vanilla

Method

  • Crush graham crackers.
  • Mix with melted margarine and brown sugar.
  • Divide this mixture into 2 equal parts.
  • Put half of the crumbs into the bottom of a 9 x 9 x 3-inch dish.
  • Reserve the rest.
  • Dissolve jello in boiling water.
  • Add cream cheese.
  • In another bowl, whip cold evaporated milk until thick with electric mixer.
  • Gradually add white sugar and vanilla.
  • Add the jello mixture and beat well.
  • Pour the jello mixture onto crumbs.
  • Add the remaining crumbs on top of the jello mixture.
  • Refrigerate.
