Ingredients

  • 2 c. flour
  • 2 c. old Cheddar, grated
  • 4 tsp. baking powder
  • 1 Tbsp. sugar
  • 3/4 tsp. oregano
  • 6 green onions, chopped
  • 3/4 tsp. dry mustard
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1 c. milk
  • 1 Tbsp. butter, melted

Method

  • Mix flour, cheese, baking powder, sugar, oregano, mustard and salt.
  • Combine egg, milk and butter and add to dry ingredients along with onions, stirring until combined.
  • Grease and flour 8 1/2 x 4 1/2-inch loaf pan.
  • Bake at 350° for 40 to 45 minutes. Serve warm.
