Ingredients

  • 4 c. flour
  • 2 sticks melted oleo
  • 1 Tbsp. baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp. cloves
  • 2 c. white sugar
  • 1 Tbsp. soda
  • 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp. allspice
  • 3 c. water
  • 1 lb. raisins
  • 2 c. nuts

Method

  • Boil water and raisins for 5 minutes and let cool.
  • Add nuts to flour, white sugar and oleo and add dry ingredients to flour. Add

  • time.
  • Bake 1 1/2 hours at 325° in greased angel food cake pan.
  • Mix confectioners sugar and orange juice,
  • enough
  • to drip down on sides and stripes on top.
