Ingredients
- 4 red onions, quartered
- 4 garlic cloves
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 4 ounces cream cheese, softened
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
- 2 tablespoons fresh thyme
- salt and pepper
- finely snipped chives
Method
- Slice onions and chop garlic. In large skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Add onions and garlic and stir well.
- Cook, stirring, until onions are browned and caramelized, about 25 minutes.
- Combine onions, cream cheese, sour cream, Worcestershire sauce, thyme, salt and pepper in food processor. Process until well blended, about 30 seconds.
