Ingredients
- 1 c. popcorn (when popped it equals about 12 c.)
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 c. peanuts or mixed nuts
- 1 1/2 Tbsp. butter, melted
- 1 1/2 c. brown sugar
- 6 Tbsp. water
Method
- Pop corn; add nuts and salt.
- In saucepan, melt butter.
- Add brown sugar and water; stir until sugar is dissolved.
- Boil without stirring to soft ball stage (238°).
- Put popped corn and nuts in buttered roaster.
- Pour caramel mixture over them and mix well.
- Bake at 200° for 1 hour, stirring every 15 minutes.
