Ingredients
- 1 (14 oz.) bag Kraft caramels
- 1 (5 oz.) evaporated milk
- 1 SuperMoist German chocolate cake mix
- 2/3 c. margarine, melted
- 3/4 c. chopped nuts (optional)
- 6 oz. chocolate chips
- 1 c. flaked coconut
Method
- Preheat oven to 350°.
- Melt together 1/4 cup evaporated milk and caramels.
- Keep warm over low heat.
- Mix dry cake mix with remaining milk, melted margarine and nuts.
- Spread 1/2 of mixture in 13 x 9-inch pan.
- Bake 6 minutes.
- Immediately sprinkle chocolate chips and coconut on baked cake mix.
- Drizzle melted caramel mixture over top.
- Drop remaining cake mixture randomly in small amounts over caramel drizzle.
- Bake 15 to 20 minutes.
- Cool. Refrigerate until firm and cut into squares.
