Ingredients
- 8 tbsp (1 stick) butter, chopped
- 1 can (14 oz) sweetened condensed milk
- 2 tbsp honey
- 3/4 cup firmly packed brown sugar
- 4 oz semi-sweet chocolate, melted
- 1/4 cup hazelnuts, toasted and chopped coarsely
Method
- Grease 8 x 4-inch loaf pan; line bottom and sides with parchment paper.
- Stir butter, milk, honey and sugar in medium saucepan on low heat, without boiling, until sugar dissolves. Increase heat to medium-high. Cook, stirring, about 10 mins or until glossy and caramel in color.
- Pour caramel into prepared pan. Cool. Remove caramel from pan. Spread with chocolate and top with nuts. Allow chocolate to set at room temperature. Cut into small squares to serve.
