Ingredients

  • 8 tbsp (1 stick) butter, chopped
  • 1 can (14 oz) sweetened condensed milk
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 3/4 cup firmly packed brown sugar
  • 4 oz semi-sweet chocolate, melted
  • 1/4 cup hazelnuts, toasted and chopped coarsely

Method

  • Grease 8 x 4-inch loaf pan; line bottom and sides with parchment paper.
  • Stir butter, milk, honey and sugar in medium saucepan on low heat, without boiling, until sugar dissolves. Increase heat to medium-high. Cook, stirring, about 10 mins or until glossy and caramel in color.
  • Pour caramel into prepared pan. Cool. Remove caramel from pan. Spread with chocolate and top with nuts. Allow chocolate to set at room temperature. Cut into small squares to serve.
