Ingredients
- 2 c. flour
- 2 c. oatmeal
- 1 1/2 c. brown sugar
- dash of salt
- 1 tsp. baking soda
- 1 1/2 c. melted margarine
- 48 caramels
- 10 Tbsp. half and half
- 1 c. chocolate chips
- 1/2 c. nuts (optional)
Method
- Mix flour, oatmeal, sugar, salt, soda and margarine.
- Divide mixture in half.
- Use 1/2 for bottom crust.
- Pat into pan and bake for 10 minutes at 350°.
- Melt caramels and milk.
- Spread this on baked crust and sprinkle chocolate chips and nuts on top. Top with remaining crust mixture.
- Bake for 15 to 20 minutes at 350°.
