Ingredients

  • 1/2 lb. ground beef
  • 1/2 lb. bacon, diced
  • 1 large onion, chopped (1 c.)
  • 1/2 c. catsup
  • 2 tsp. salt
  • 2 tsp. prepared mustard
  • 4 tsp. cider vinegar
  • 3/4 c. firmly packed light brown sugar
  • 1 can (30 oz.) pork and beans
  • 1 can (15 oz.) garbanzo beans
  • 1 can (15 oz.) kidney beans
  • 1 can seaside butter beans, drained

Method

  • Cook ground beef, bacon and onion in large skillet until meat loses color and onion is tender.
  • Drain only if there is an excessive amount of fat.
  • Stir in catsup, salt, mustard and vinegar.
  • Combine remaining ingredients in a 3-quart casserole. Stir in meat mixture.
  • Cover.
  • Bake in moderate oven at 350° for 40 minutes or until bubbly.
