- 1/2 lb. ground beef
- 1/2 lb. bacon, diced
- 1 large onion, chopped (1 c.)
- 1/2 c. catsup
- 2 tsp. salt
- 2 tsp. prepared mustard
- 4 tsp. cider vinegar
- 3/4 c. firmly packed light brown sugar
- 1 can (30 oz.) pork and beans
- 1 can (15 oz.) garbanzo beans
- 1 can (15 oz.) kidney beans
- 1 can seaside butter beans, drained
Method
- Cook ground beef, bacon and onion in large skillet until meat loses color and onion is tender.
- Drain only if there is an excessive amount of fat.
- Stir in catsup, salt, mustard and vinegar.
- Combine remaining ingredients in a 3-quart casserole. Stir in meat mixture.
- Cover.
- Bake in moderate oven at 350° for 40 minutes or until bubbly.
