Ingredients

  • 1 lb. each: lean stew beef and boneless pork
  • 1/4 lb. lard
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 2 bay leaves
  • 1/4 tsp. allspice
  • 1 tsp. paprika
  • 1 small can tomatoes
  • black pepper
  • salt to taste
  • 2 tsp. liquid crushed red pepper
  • 1/4 to 1/2 c. table wine

Method

  • Combine

  • in
  • good
  • sized pot and cook slowly for
  • 1/2 hours or until meat is tender.
  • Add only a little salt at the beginning.
  • Later add more salt and pepper to taste. Add warm water, if needed.
  • Stir often.
