- 1 lb. each: lean stew beef and boneless pork
- 1/4 lb. lard
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic
- 2 bay leaves
- 1/4 tsp. allspice
- 1 tsp. paprika
- 1 small can tomatoes
- black pepper
- salt to taste
- 2 tsp. liquid crushed red pepper
- 1/4 to 1/2 c. table wine
Method
- Combine
- all
- ingredients
- in
- good
- sized pot and cook slowly for
- 1/2 hours or until meat is tender.
- Add only a little salt at the beginning.
- Later add more salt and pepper to taste. Add warm water, if needed.
- Stir often.
