Ingredients
- 12 large cabbage leaves
- 1 1/2 lb. ground beef
- 1 1/2 c. cooked rice
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1/4 tsp. pepper
- 1 egg, beaten
- 1 can tomato soup
- 2/3 soup can water
Method
- Partially cook cabbage leaves in boiling salt water about 2 minutes; remove from water and drain.
- Combine next 6 ingredients; divide meat mixture into 12 parts and wrap each portion in a cabbage leaf.
- Secure with toothpick.
- Place in baking dish.
- Mix tomato soup with water and pour over cabbage leaves.
- Cover with foil.
- Bake, covered, at 350° for 45 minutes.
- Uncover and bake 15 minutes.
