Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1 cup onions finely chopped
  • 4 cloves garlic finely chopped
  • 4 x bay leaves
  • 1 pound ground beef, lean
  • 1 cup carrots chopped
  • 1 x jalapeno pepper sliced with seeds if you wanted spicy
  • 2 x beef bouillon cubes
  • 5 cups cabbage Finely chopped
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 tablespoon italian seasoning
  • 1 tablespoon paprika
  • 1/4 teaspoon cumin

Method

  • In a large skillet, heat oil and saute onion, garlic and bay leaves.
  • Brown beef well.
  • Add the rest of the ingredients in the listed order.
  • Bring to boil and turn down to low.
  • Press cabbage down once it starts to wilt.
  • Stir after 15 minutes.
  • Cook for 30 minutes, total.
