Ingredients

  • 1/2 c. butter
  • 2 c. brown sugar, packed
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 1/2 c. sifted flour
  • 2 tsp. baking powder
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 c. chopped nuts

Method

  • Melt butter over low heat.
  • Remove
  • and
  • stir
  • in brown sugar. Stir well.
  • Cool and stir in
  • eggs.
  • Sift dry ingredients together and stir in, then add
  • vanilla and nuts.
  • Spread in well-greased 9 x 13-inch pan.
  • Bake at
  • 350°
  • for
  • 20 to 25 minutes or when lightly touched with
  • finger in center, slight imprint remains.
  • Cut while warm.
