Ingredients

  • 2 c. sugar
  • 3 heaping Tbsp. self-rising flour
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 stick melted butter
  • 2 tsp. vanilla
  • 3/4 c. buttermilk
  • 2 unbaked pie shells

Method

  • Preheat oven to 425°. Combine sugar and flour. In a separate mixing bowl, mix together eggs, butter, vanilla and buttermilk. Slowly add the sugar and flour mixture while mixing. Pour into unbaked pie shells. Bake for 10 minutes, then reduce oven to 325° and finish baking until golden brown or tester comes out clean (about 20 to 30 minutes).
  • Yield: 2 pieces.
