Ingredients
- 2 c. sifted all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp. baking soda
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 Tbsp. sugar
- 2 eggs, well beaten
- 2 c. buttermilk
- 2 Tbsp. melted shortening
Method
- Place dry ingredients in bowl.
- Combine eggs and buttermilk. Stir into flour mixture.
- Beat until smooth.
- Add shortening. Bake on hot griddle.
- Makes about 18 (4-inch) pancakes.
