Ingredients

  • 1 c. hot water
  • 1/2 c. sugar
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 stick oleo
  • 1 pkg. dry yeast
  • 1/4 c. warm water
  • 1 Tbsp. sugar
  • 3 eggs
  • 5 c. flour

Method

  • Dissolve first 4 ingredients together.
  • Dissolve next 3 ingredients together.
  • Beat the eggs.
  • Then put all liquids together and pour over flour; mix together.
  • Let stand overnight in refrigerator.
  • Divide into 2 parts.
  • Roll round and spread top with soft butter, then cut each into 16 wedges.
  • Roll in horn by starting to roll at large end.
  • Place on greased baking sheet with point on underside.
  • Let rise for four to six hours.
  • Bake in 375° oven for 10 to 15 minutes or until golden brown.
  • Brush with butter.
  • Makes 32 rolls.
