Ingredients

  • 2 sticks butter or margarine
  • 1/2 c. sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 tsp. almond extract
  • 2 1/2 c. flour

Method

  • Cream butter.
  • Gradually
  • add
  • sugar.
  • Beat
  • in egg and almond extract (by
  • hand).
  • Gradually
  • blend
  • in flour.
  • Chill dough for ease in handling.
  • Roll out dough on lightly floured surface to 1/8
  • inch thickness.
  • (We like them thin;
  • however, you can make them
  • thicker,
  • if so desired.) Cut into desired shapes and bake at 350°
  • on
  • ungreased cookie sheet (about 10 minutes, or until golden
  • brown).
  • Frost
  • with confectioners sugar frosting when cool.
