Ingredients
- 1/2 c. butter, softened
- 1 1/2 c. brown sugar
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1/2 c. milk
- 1 1/2 c. flour
- 1 c. chopped nuts
- 3 Tbsp. cocoa
- 1 egg, slightly beaten
- 1/2 tsp. soda
- 1/2 c. hot water
Method
- Cream butter, sugar, vanilla and salt.
- Add milk alternately with flour to butter mixture.
- Add nuts and cocoa.
- Combine egg, soda and water; add to flour mixture.
- Spread in a greased 10 x 12-inch pan.
- Bake for 20 minutes at 325°.
