Ingredients

  • 2/3 c. plus 2 Tbsp. margarine or butter
  • 1 1/2 c. sugar
  • 1 1/2 c. unsifted flour
  • 2/3 c. unsweetened cocoa
  • 3 eggs
  • 1/2 c. milk
  • 3 tsp. vanilla
  • 1/2 tsp. baking powder
  • 1 c. chopped nuts
  • 1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese, softened
  • 1 Tbsp. cornstarch
  • 1 (14 oz.) can sweetened condensed milk

Method

  • Preheat oven to 350°.
  • Melt 2/3 cup margarine.
  • In large mixer bowl, beat melted margarine, sugar, flour, cocoa, eggs, milk, 2 teaspoons vanilla and baking powder until well blended.
  • Stir in nuts, if desired.
  • Spread in greased 13 x 9-inch baking pan.
