Ingredients

  • 2 bunches broccoli
  • 10 slices bacon
  • 1 red onion
  • 1/3 c. raisins
  • 1 c. mayonnaise
  • 1/4 c. sugar
  • 2 Tbsp. cider vinegar
  • 1/2 tsp. pepper
  • 1/2 c. sunflower seeds

Method

  • Cut broccoli flowerets into smaller than bite-sized pieces. Cut off tough outer layer of stalks and chop tender part into small pieces (8 cups broccoli).
  • In small skillet, saute bacon until crisp.
  • Set aside.
  • Slice onion lengthwise, then cut into julienne strips.
  • In large bowl, combine broccoli, onion, raisins and crumbled bacon.
