Ingredients

  • 8 slices bread
  • 1 (4 oz.) pkg. Mozzarella cheese, sliced
  • 2 (10 oz. each) pkg. frozen, chopped broccoli, thawed or 2 lb. broccoli, parboiled and drained
  • 2 c. milk
  • 3 eggs, beaten
  • 1/2 tsp. tarragon
  • 1/4 tsp. ground black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 c. chili sauce

Method

  • In greased 8-inch square pan, layer 4 slices bread, slices of Mozzarella cheese, 1/4 cup chili sauce and all the broccoli. Repeat layers of bread, cheese and chili sauce.
  • Combine milk, eggs, tarragon, salt and pepper.
  • Pour over layers.
  • Cover and refrigerate several hours or bake immediately in 350° oven for 45 minutes or until set.
