Ingredients
- 1 lb. sausage
- 5 eggs
- 6 slices white bread, crust removed
- butter, softened
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 1/2 c. shredded cheese
- 1 tsp. dry mustard
- 2 c. half and half
Method
- Cook sausage over medium heat until done, stirring to crumble. Drain on paper towel and set aside.
- Spread each slice of bread with butter; cut into cubes.
- Place bread in a 9 x 13-inch baking dish.
- Sprinkle with sausage and top with cheese.
- Combine remaining ingredients.
- Beat well and pour over mixture in baking dish.
- Chill in refrigerator at least 8 hours.
- Remove the dish from refrigerator and bake at 350° for 40 to 50 minutes.
- After cooking, cover and keep in refrigerator.
- Slice and heat in microwave as needed.
