Ingredients

  • 1 lb. sausage, cooked and drained
  • 4 slices, cubed bread
  • 1 c. grated Cheddar cheese
  • 6 eggs, beaten
  • 2 c. milk
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. sage or Italian seasoning
  • 1 tsp. dry mustard
  • dash of Worcestershire sauce
  • dash of Tabasco (optional)

Method

  • Layer sausage in long, greased glass casserole.
  • Sprinkle bread cubes, then cheese over sausage.
  • Beat eggs, milk, salt, sage, mustard, Worcestershire sauce and Tabasco sauce together and pour over sausage, bread and cheese.
  • Refrigerate at least 6 hours before baking at 350° for 40 to 45 minutes.
