Ingredients

  • bread
  • dry parsley
  • 7 eggs
  • 1 1/2 tsp. dry mustard
  • 1 stick butter or margarine
  • 8 oz. shredded Cheddar cheese
  • 1 lb. meat (ham, sausage or bacon), browned and drained
  • 3 c. milk
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • cornflakes

Method

  • Grease 13 x 9-inch baking pan.
  • Layer bread slices to completely cover bottom of pan.
  • Layer meat, cheese and sprinkle parsley.
  • Cover completely with another layer of bread.
  • Combine eggs, milk, mustard and salt.
  • Pour over bread and meat layers. Cover and refrigerate overnight.
  • Crush cornflakes and spread over top of casserole.
  • Melt margarine and drizzle over top.
  • Bake at 300° for 1 hour.
