Ingredients
- 2 pkg. yeast
- 1 c. warm water
- 1 c. boiling water
- 1 c. Crisco
- 3/4 c. sugar
- 2 eggs
- 6 c. self-rising flour
- 2 sticks melted margarine
Method
- Dissolve yeast in warm water; set aside.
- Melt Crisco in boiling water.
- After melted, add sugar, sifted flour, eggs and yeast mixture.
- Mix well.
- Cover loosely and refrigerate overnight.
- Divide mixture in half and roll out like biscuits. Dip each biscuit in melted butter.
- Place in 9 x 13-inch bread pan.
- Let rise 2 to 3 hours.
- Bake at 350° until done.
