Ingredients
- 1 11/16 cups milk
- 8 5/8 cups bread approximately
- 1 large egg
- 1 1/4 cups sugar
- 1 7/16 cups flour
- 1 1/2 cups cocoa
- pine nuts
- sultanas soaked in rum
- 10 Amaretti Cookies crushed
- ground cinnamon
Method
- Preheat the oven to 180C.
- Soak the bread in the milk and stir with a wooden spoon until it is of a mushy consistency.
- Add the egg, sugar, flour, chocolate, a handful of pine nuts, a handful of sultanas with the rum, Amaretti cookies, and cinnamon. Stir the ingredients to combine well until the mixture is soft. Add a few drops of milk, if necessary, to make the mixture softer.
- Place the mixture in a buttered round springform pan.
- Bake for approximately 50 minutes.
- Remove the cake from the oven, let it cool, and serve.
