Ingredients
- 4 qt. medium cucumbers, sliced
- 2 c. chopped onions
- 4 c. vinegar
- 4 c. sugar
- 2 Tbsp. mustard seed
- 1 tsp. celery seed
- 1 tsp. turmeric
Method
- Wash and slice cucumbers; put in 1/2 cup salt (either canning salt or plain salt, not iodized) and water to cover cucumbers. Let stand 3 hours.
- Combine all remaining ingredients and bring to a boil.
- Drain cucumbers from salt mixture and place in vinegar solution.
- Bring to a boil again.
- Put in jars.
