Ingredients
- 3/4 c. butter
- 1 c. sugar
- 1 egg
- 1/4 c. molasses
- 2 c. flour
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon cloves
Method
- Cream butter and sugar till fluffy.
- Beat in Large eggs one at a time.
- Add in molasses and remaining dry ingredients, continue to run mixer.
- When completely mixed dough will be soft.
- Turn out of bowl and wrap in waxed paper.
- Chill 1 hour.
- Heat oven to 375 degrees.
- Shape dough in walnut-size balls.
- Roll in granulated sugar to coat.
- Space 2 inches apart on well greased cookie sheet.
- Bake 8 to 10 min.
- Let cookies set a minute before removing from pan to cold.
