Ingredients
- 1 1/2 cups firmly packed brown sugar
- 1 cup water
- 1 (16 ounce) package frozen unsweetened strawberries, thawed and drained
- 1/4 cup lemon juice
- 1/2 cup brandy
Method
- In a large saucepan, combine sugar and water. Stirring constantly, cook over medium heat until sugar dissolves.
- Stir in strawberries and lemon juice. Bring to a boil and cook for 10 minutes.
- Remove from heat, stir in brandy.
- Store in airtight container in refrigerator.
- Serve with cake or ice cream.
