Ingredients

  • 1 (15 oz.) box Raisin Bran (7 c.)
  • 3 c. sugar
  • 5 c. flour (plain)
  • 2 tsp. salt
  • 5 tsp. soda
  • 4 eggs, beaten
  • 1 qt. buttermilk
  • 1 c. shortening or oil

Method

  • Mix bran, sugar, flour, salt and soda in a large bowl.
  • Add mixture of eggs, buttermilk and shortening.
  • Mix well.
  • Store in covered container in refrigerator and use as desired. Fill muffin tins 2/3 full.
  • Bake at 400° for 15 minutes.
  • Will keep at least 6 weeks.
