Ingredients

  • 1 (6 oz.) pkg. (1 c.) semi-sweet chocolate morsels
  • 1/2 c. sugar
  • 3 Tbsp. light corn syrup
  • 1/2 c. bourbon (more if needed)
  • 2 1/2 c. (approximately 5 doz.) vanilla wafers, crushed fine
  • 1 c. nuts (walnuts or pecans), chopped fine

Method

  • Melt chocolate morsels over hot water.
  • Remove from heat.
  • Stir in sugar and syrup.
  • Blend in bourbon.
  • Combine nuts and wafers. Add to chocolate mix.
  • Shape into balls.
  • Roll in powdered or granulated sugar.
  • Store in container several days to ripen.
