Ingredients

  • 2 c. sugar
  • 1/2 c. brown sugar
  • 1 c. Crisco
  • 4 eggs
  • 2 1/2 c. sifted flour
  • 1 tsp. baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 (12 oz.) can evaporated milk
  • 1 c. broken pecans
  • 1 c. Angel Flake coconut

Method

  • Blend the first 3 ingredients until fluffy; add eggs one at a time on medium mixer speed.
  • Mix dry ingredients; add alternately with milk.
  • Add vanilla, nuts and coconut.
  • Bake in a greased and floured tube pan for 1 1/2 hours at 325°.
  • Cool.
  • Remove from pan.
