Ingredients

  • 2 c. flour
  • 1 tsp. baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp. baking soda
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 2/3 c. margarine
  • 2 c. brown sugar, packed
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 tsp. vanilla
  • 1/2 c. chopped nuts
  • 1/2 (12 oz.) pkg. chocolate chips

Method

  • Heat oven to 350°. Measure flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt in bowl. In 2-quart saucepan, melt butter. Remove from heat and stir in sugar. Cool. Grease 12 x 8 x 2-inch pan. Add eggs and vanilla to sugar mix. Add dry ingredients and nuts. Pour in greased pan. Sprinkle chocolate chips on top. Bake about 40 minutes.
