Ingredients

  • 2 c. sifted flour
  • 2 c. brown sugar
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 (6 oz.) bag chocolate chips
  • 1 c. chopped nuts
  • 1 tsp. baking powder
  • 2/3 c. margarine
  • 2 tsp. vanilla

Method

  • Sift flour, baking powder and salt.
  • Melt margarine and then add brown sugar.
  • Mix well.
  • Cool slightly.
  • Add 2 slightly beaten eggs and vanilla.
  • Blend.
  • Add flour mixture and nuts.
  • Mix well. Spread in a greased 7 x 11-inch pan.
  • Sprinkle chocolate chips over top.
  • Bake at 350° for 20 to 25 minutes.
  • Cool in pan before cutting.
